Chase, my mom, and I took Keegan and Will to the Zoo last month and we had a blast!! Will loves, loves, loves the zoo! We walked all around and saw all the animals. The "Apes" were his favorite!! Keegan slept most of the time but woke up at the end before we rode the train and the carousel.

It has been forever since I have updated so I'm gunna do a few big posts of the few exciting things that have happened the last little while. My lil sis Tavyn had a baby in May (Iknow a long time ago) so the baby you see in the pictures is little Keegan. We just love him to death!!

My Grandfather came to town a few weeks ago so we all got together and had a BBQ. This is our 4 generation photo.

In July Will had his second Birthday!! He wasnt too thrilled that EVERYONE was looking at him and wanted to take pictures of him. I got a few of the crusty looks that he is famous for giving.

Keegan and Will are getting so big so fast!! We love spending time with them and we spend every spare second we can plying with them!!

Red Fish Lake

This past weekend we met my parents up in Idaho at Red Fish Lake. They go every uear and for the last few I have passed. I am so ghlad that we went up there this year! It was such a GORGEOUS place! The lake is so clear and beautiful with the view of the Saw Tooth Mountains in the background. This weekend was the first time that Diesel has had the chance to swim. We bought him a life jacket at my request so I didn't have to worry about him drowning!! He did pretty well without it but after we put it on him he was a little more brave. He ran up and down the beach pouncing in the water and finding the biggest stick he could possibly find!! The weather up there was high 70s low 80s so we got some good sun! We got to go out on the boat (thanks Uncle Steve!) play in the water, sit around the campfire, drive remote control boats and remote control cars, and spend some good time with the fam! We will be going back for sure next year, hopefully for a longer stay!!

4th of July (late)

The last few weeks have been so crazy for us so I am a little late with this post. For the fourth we went up to the cabin in Fairview Lakes. The weather was pretty good which only made the few relaxing days we had up there all the better! We drove into Scofield to watch the fireworks and after they had shot off the 10th or so firework it started pouring rain so we turned around and drove back to the cabin. All in all the weekend was great!

So Diesel has decided that he enjoys standing behind anything that can hide him. The other day we couldn't find him anywhere and since our house isn't too big there weren't a lot of places to look. This is what we found...

Yes he is standing inside the tub! When it comes time for bath time we have the hardest time getting him into the tub but we constantly have to pull him out of there everyother day!!

Catching up

Since it has been months since I have blogged I have a lot to catch up on. The holidays were pretty crazy for us since between me and Chase we have like 8 families that we have to spend time with but we made it out alive. For New Years we spent a few days up at the cabin which was fun. Since the new year we have both been pretty busy working and making sure our dog doesn't destroy everything that we own! :) We finally had to break down and buy a new crate for Diesel since the one that my parents let us borrow was way to small for him! After hours of searching the internet I finally found the crate that will hopefully fit him for the rest of his life. $250 later we are now set!! (dogs are so expensive)

We also just went to Vegas for Nascar this last weekend. It was so much fun!! We put Diesel and Major (Chase's dads dog) at the same kennel and we were off for the weekend. We all went into Vegas on Sat. to do a little shopping and sight seeing. I came up with this GREAT idea to go up on top of the Stratosphere and ride the rides up there... For the record just let me say that was the dumbest idea I have ever had!! I was so scared and totally regretted spending money on rides that scared me to death! All day Sunday we were at the race. I am always entertained by the kind of people that I see there... I wish I would have taken pictures of a few that I saw beause I am still laughing when I think about them!!

This last weekend a group of us rode the "fun bus" out to Wendover. We left at 7:30pm and didn't get back until 6:00am the next morning. It was so much fun but we were all exhausted the next day. None of us lost a lot of money which made it that much better. I only have a few pictures from the way down on the bus since Casey told us that we weren't allowed to take pictures in the Casino, which who knows if that is true or not but I wasn't about ready to find out.

Diesel is known to always find a stick where ever he goes. A few weeks ago we were at Jeanas house and he found this three limb that had fallen off he tree and he was seriously in stick heaven. He is desperately trying to keep it away from major so he can have it to himself. I guess that is what happens when you are an only child. :)

Last night Carson had his championship game for football that me and Chase decided to go to. It was so so cold but it was so worth it! I was surprised to find that even after being graduated for 4 years I still have so much Caveman Pride running through my veins!!

The Best Gift Ever!

This is the mess that Chase came home to yesterday. I guess Diesel decided to chew through his gate and let himself loose on our VERY un-doggy proofed house. He went nuts and I think that he chewed or shredded every single thing that was low enough for him to get to. I must say that this picture doesn't even begin to do justice to the mess that he made but I thought that it would give everyone a really good laugh because what else can you do? So if anyone wants a black great dane please give me a call :)

Last night Chase decided that he was going to do a little remodeling on our house. There is a dead space under our stairs so he cut a hole and is going to put a little door in so we can have some extra storage in our garage. Diesel's favorite thing? RIDING IN THE CAR!! Whenever we go for a ride in the car Diesel has to sit in the back seat because he is now WAY too big to sit on my lap. We just bought him the biggest pillow that I could find since he has grown out of the huge crate that we had for him, and we put it in the back seat on our ride up to the cabin this past weekend. It looked so comfy that I wanted to lay back there! No matter how comfortable we could ever make it for him he insists on having his head up between the front seats. I guess he just likes feeling like a part of whatever is going on up there! Here are a few funny pictures of him.

Bee Sting

Last night Diesel decided that he was going to try and eat the bee that was buzzing around in our blinds. I quickly stopped him and killed it and put it outside and thought nothing more of it. About 20min later we are all sitting on the couch and Diesel was just drooling uncontrollably so I went and go a paper towel to wipe it up and off of his face and that is when I noticed that one whole side of his lip was totally swollen. I was freaking out worried that he was going to have an allergic reaction and die so I went online and found out that they are mostly harmless other than swelling. It looked so funny that we had to take a picture and share. If you can't tell it is on the right side.

****OK so I must explain...Yes Diesel is wearing a sweater, yes that's right a sweater with little dog paw prints on it. Due to the cold and rainy weather that we have been experiencing lately we got him a sweater to keep him warm. If it is raining or cold outside he will just step outside the front door and pee on our front porch so he doesn't have to get his paws or body wet or cold. It rained almost all weekend and when he had it on he would actually go out and do his business and play a little. I also just ordered him a winter coat off ebay today so he will be nice and warm this winter.****

So we decided to finally allow Diesel to get up on the couch with us and now we have created a monster! He takes up the whole loveseat but even worse, he loves to lay on the big couch and he really doesn't like anyone else by him. I will be sitting on the couch watching tv and he will jump up and then he will whine until I get off the couch and then he will spread out and go to sleep. What have we done? We have allowed our dog to take over our lives! LOL

This weekend my grandpa was in town for a family reuinion so we all got together on Friday night for Tavyn's birthday. We had dinner cake and lots of visiting. At the end of the night we had my grandpa tell stories from his life while we recorded him so someday when he is gone we will be able to listen to them. It was really neat.

A new friend for Diesel

Yesterday Chase's dad got a puppy. He is a beautiful fawn boxer with the cutest little personality. We took Diesel over to play with him and needless to say Diesel got a little too rough with him but the puppy wouldn't back down. He kept coming after Diesel because Diesel kept pouncing on him and running him over. It was so cute to watch!! Hopefully they can be little best friends.

Since Chase has been in California working Diesel has been nothing short of a monster. He has spent a lot of time in the kitchen that we have gated off. This morning as I was cleaning up the living room and getting ready to leave for work he decided that he wanted to see what I was doing and put his paws up on the counter!!! I can't even believe that he is already big enough to easily put his feet up there!!

He just looks so darn cute that I have a hard time not giving into him. How could you resist this face?

Last night me and my grandma and my aunt and cousins went to go see my great grandmother who is now in a nursing home. After we were done there we all went over to Brandts house to visit his little boy, my nephew, Will. He is so stinken' cute!!! We wanted to get some good pictures of him with his Great Grandma Garrison. He was so happy and was staring and cooing. We all got to hold him and pass him around and he only fussed a little. What a good little boy!! :)

Diesel and Lel

We went up and visited my family on Friday since they had just gotten home from Oregon the night before. We went to Carson's football game and then went and ate pizza at my parents house after. During the game Lel wanted to hold Diesel so he went willingly into her arms and was really good to just sit there for a while. I got a few good pictures until all of the sudden he decided that he wanted down. I know that I shouldn't have laughed but I couldn't help it. I can't believe that I got such a perfect picture of the real true Diesel.

A few weeks ago we went to Chases parents cabin and had a blast. His sister-in-law, Kristen, had girls camp right by it so Sean, her husband, took there baby up so they would be close together. Chases dad took a few cute pictures of Diesel while we were there. Check them out!

Very Sad

Diesel had an appointment to get neutered this past Monday so we dropped him off first thing in the morning so the vet could keep him all day. About 11am I got a call from the vet saying that before they did the surgery he wanted to go over a few things with me. I knew something was wrong right away just by the tone in his voice. Diesel was diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur. The vet said that when he listened to his heart 6 weeks before he didn't hear this murmur which concernes him greatly. He asked me a buch of questions like has he been coughing, been overly tired, has he fainted, etc... He hasn't had any symptoms as of yet and he acts like he is a health happy 14 week old puppy. We aren't sure yet what type of a murmur it is, the vet wants to watch it over the next few weeks with regular vet visits every two weeks. We are hoping that he will just grow out of it but the vet isn't very hopeful. For how fast it has come on and how far advanced it already is he doesn't know what Diesels future is going to be. We are going to take him to a heart specialist in a few weeks and have an echocardiogram done so we can pinpoint exactly what type he has. Until then there is really nothing that we can do but hope and pray that he will just grow out of it. I will keep you all posted as we find more out about his condition.

New Collar

Chase went and bought Diesel a new collar today and in my opinion it fits him pretty well. It goes with his little "mr. tough guy" personality perfectly! :)

Since you guys are all the way in Oregon and you aren't here to see how fast Diesel is growing I took a picture to show you just how big he is getting. He is now able to put is front paws up on the counter!! Last night as we were eating dinner at the dinner table Diesel decided that he wasn't going to be left out. Sure enough his front paws ended up on the table, what a little brat!

So our friends are buying a house and they were packing up last night to move and we decided to go over and help them out, well I guess I should say we went over so Chase could help them out. Kelci and I decided to play around most of the time. :) We did find some interesting outfits in the bottom of her closet...I know we look so dumb but isn't it just a little bit sexy? :) I also got a little carried away taking pictures of Diesel with his "new shirt" on (it was an old one of Kelci's) so here are a few pictures of our fun night.

Our neighbors have a little "snorky" that is a week older than Diesel and thay LOVE to play together. It is so funny to watch because Diesel will run away from him like he is the smaller dog. The played for close to an hour last night and needless to say Diesel slept almost the rest of the night. We decided to just let them go at eachother since Diesel will need to learn how to play nice since he is going to be so BIG! Look how little he is compared to Diesel!!

A New outfit!

Diesel got his first outfit last week and surprisingly I was not the one who bought it for him. He got it on Wednesday and sadly it almost doesn't fit him anymore. He is growing so fast these days and it makes me so sad! He is averaging about an inch taller and an inch longer each week! He now weighs almost 18 pounds and before long I am not going to be able to even pick him up anymore.

I took Diesel with me to the baby shower even though he isn't a girl and he was pretty good for the most part but there were a few minutes where he was so wild and he was trying to bite my face. Actually, he did more than tried he actually got a good taste of it. I was so worried what Tank and Gunner would do when they saw him but judging by the picture I think it is safe to say that Tank pretty much loved him, that is when he wasn't running away because he was scared of him.

I am going to be an aunt!! My sister-in-law Elyse is pregnant and due soon with a little boy, William. She is due in a little less than a month and I don't think that I can wait that long!! I was holding Diesel on my lap the other night and he fell asleep and slowly his head slipped off my lap and he ended up upside down with his head resting on the floor. It was so funny we just had to take a few pictures.

We went and checked on him when he was 5 weeks old and they told us that we could take him home anytime because he was eating solid food and was doing just great. We decided to get him that following Friday but the next day I ended up picking him up because I couldn't possibly wait one more day to have him!! The first night was SO miserable because he cried ALL night so Chase finally went in and laid by his crate and he laid right down and went to sleep.
